CounselorAid Medical and Educational Disclaimer

Last updated: 3 August 2026

Educational purpose

CounselorAid creates and edits educational content about psychology, mental well-being, therapeutic skills, coaching, nutrition, fitness and healthy lifestyle practices. The website also links to third-party sources and may adapt established psychological concepts into original reflection or coaching exercises.

Website content is general information. It does not provide a diagnosis, personalised assessment, psychotherapy, medical treatment, nutritional treatment, legal advice, crisis intervention or a professional-client relationship.

Evidence and review

CounselorAid aims to use authoritative guidelines, original treatment manuals, official professional organisations and peer-reviewed research for health-related claims. Sources and limitations should be stated on relevant pages. Original CounselorAid exercises are not automatically validated simply because they are informed by a recognised therapy or research area.

A page is described as independently clinically reviewed only when a named, appropriately qualified reviewer has completed that review and is identified on the page. Pages without such a byline should not be interpreted as independently clinically reviewed.

Professional care

Do not use website content to start, stop or change medication, treatment, diet, exercise or professional care without advice appropriate to your circumstances. Mental and physical symptoms can have many causes. Seek qualified assessment when symptoms are severe, persistent, worsening, linked to trauma or self-harm, or significantly affecting daily functioning.

Emergencies and immediate risk

CounselorAid does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you or another person may be in immediate danger, at risk of suicide or serious self-harm, experiencing violence, or facing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis service immediately. Do not rely on a worksheet, assessment, chatbot, article or email response during an emergency.

Worksheets and assessments

Worksheets support education, reflection, planning or skills practice. Unless a resource explicitly states otherwise and provides supporting evidence, it has not been validated as a diagnostic test, treatment or outcome measure. Self-assessments and check-ins cannot confirm or rule out a disorder.

DBT resources

Pages about Dialectical Behavior Therapy teach individual skills and provide practice materials. They are not comprehensive DBT. Standard DBT is a structured treatment programme that may include individual therapy, skills training, between-session coaching and a therapist consultation team.

Exercise, nutrition and physical health

Exercise, breathing, temperature-based techniques, dietary changes and other physical practices may not be safe for every person. Health conditions, pregnancy, disability, medication, eating disorders, allergies and other factors can change what is appropriate. Stop an activity and seek medical advice if you experience concerning symptoms.

External links

External links are provided for context and reference. CounselorAid does not control third-party websites and cannot guarantee that their content, security, availability or policies will remain unchanged. A link does not mean that CounselorAid endorses every statement, service or product on that website.

Advertising and commercial relationships

CounselorAid may display advertising, affiliate links, sponsored content or gifted-product disclosures. Material relationships should be disclosed clearly. Advertising does not determine editorial conclusions, and the presence of an advertisement is not a clinical endorsement.

Accuracy and corrections

Reasonable efforts are made to keep information accurate and current, but errors or outdated material may occur. CounselorAid may revise content when new evidence, guidance or safety concerns emerge. Report a possible error through the contact page and review the Corrections Policy.
